Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Postpartum Floats to NICU Location: Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, 5 Tower, Chicago, IL Department: 35132 Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center - 5 Tower Post Schedule: 36 hours per week Three 12‑hour night shifts per week (7PM–7AM) Alternate weekend and holiday shifts CRU to intermediate nursery – 5 shifts in a 6‑week period Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour (subject to qualifications) Benefits: Eligible for full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, life, disability, PTO, retirement, etc.) Job Overview We are a high‑risk Level III Perinatal Unit in a north‑side Chicago neighborhood. This role provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Nurses manage premature infants, high‑risk pregnancies, and complex cases while collaborating with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication. Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and optimal patient experience. Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and critical thinking. Qualifications Completion of an accredited nursing program. Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association. At least one year of postpartum and/or NICU experience (strongly preferred). Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
