Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities: Manage civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution. Represent clients in medical malpractice and long-term care defense cases. Advise clients regarding professional licensing and regulatory compliance matters. Handle guardianship law matters and related legal proceedings. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other case documents. Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Develop case strategies and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and legal teams. Operate with increasing autonomy while collaborating with experienced attorneys for mentorship and strategic guidance. Must-Have Skills: Active license to practice law in Washington. At least three years of civil litigation experience. Experience with medical malpractice defense and/or long-term care defense. Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, legal research, and written advocacy. Ability to manage cases independently and exercise sound legal judgment. Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with professional licensing, guardianship law, or regulatory compliance. Background in health law or representation of healthcare professionals and organizations. Experience taking depositions and handling hearings, mediations, arbitrations, or trials.
