Location: Slick City Action Park Department: Sweet City Retail Reports To: Management Team at Slick City / General Manager Employment Type: Full-Time, Year Round Typical Schedule: TuesdaySaturday, 10:00 AM6:00 PM (may vary depending on business needs)

Position Summary

Do you love candy and creating smiles? Slick City Action Park is looking for a Retail Specialist to help lead our candy store! This isn't just stocking shelves it's building a sweet, high-energy experience that keeps guests coming back for more. You'll manage inventory, support a team, drive sales, and make sure every single guest who walks through the door leaves with a smile (and probably a sugar rush). This role works hand-in-hand with the Management Team, Slick City staff, and our Merchandising Department to keep things running smoothly and to deliver the "OMG Experience" that's at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Train team members to open and close the store
• Keep the store stocked, sparkling clean, and irresistibly fun to shop
• Handle cash procedures and daily reconciliation with accuracy
• Follow all health, safety, and food handling standards

Point of Sale & Technology

• Run the POS system like a champ for daily transactions
• Train your team to use it confidently sales, discounts, all of it
• Pick up new tech and systems quickly and without a sweat
• Bonus points if you know CenterEdge (our park-wide system) but we'll teach you if you don't!

Inventory Management

• Keep the candy flowing manage ordering, receiving, and stock/par levels
• Count inventory regularly and keep the numbers accurate
• Team up with our Merchandising Department on product picks, restocks, and fun new promotions
• Build solid relationships with management and other key team members

Staff Leadership & Collaboration

• Train a team that brings the energy
• Coach and support your crew so they can bring their best every shift
• Build a fun, positive, guest-first culture in the store
• Give your team OMG Experiences daily that they pass on to the guests!
• Partner with the Management Team and Slick City staff to keep retail in sync with all the action happening across the park

Sales & Merchandising

• Partner with Merchandising to make the store pop and sales soar
• Dig into sales data to spot trends and opportunities
• Offer ideas on pricing and promotions
• Chase down (and crush) sales and profitability goals

Guest Experience

• Deliver the friendly, fast, can't-stop-smiling service that defines the Slick City "OMG Experience"
• Handle guest questions or concerns with patience and professionalism
• Keep the energy high and the vibe fun always

Qualifications

Required

• Prior retail experience, ideally with some supervisory responsibility
• Highly organized, with strong multitasking skills
• Tech-savvy or a fast learner with POS systems
• Great communicator who works well across teams
• Available weekends and holidays, with flexibility for schedule changes based on business needs
• Comfortable with basic math and cash handling

Preferred

• Familiarity with CenterEdge software
• Experience in a family entertainment center, amusement park, or similar high-energy environment
• Experience with inventory management systems

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and move around for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 2530 lbs
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
