This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful structural projects across the DC/MD/VA region and nationwide. We are looking for professionals with a passion for both conventional and design-build bridge programs who want to be part of a global company that has transformed over 4,400 bridges worldwide.In this role, you will work on a variety of bridge projects, including concrete and steel bridges, deck and superstructure rehabilitations, and innovative designs. You will have the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise while delivering high-quality bridge designs that meet the needs of our clients. Parsons is known for its technical excellence, client-focused approach, and successful project execution. This role would require you to work from our Baltimore, MD office.Key Responsibilities:Plan and design bridge structures to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks with precision and efficiency.Develop engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, surveys, and designs.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers working on the same project.Serve as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small to intermediate-sized projects or contribute as part of a larger project team.Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative problem-solving, and delivering superior results.Build and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required.Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is strongly preferred.5+ years of experience in highway/roadway engineering design is required.Professional Engineering (PE) license and other relevant certifications may be required.Skills and Competencies:Proficiency in CAD and other engineering bridge design and analysis software tools is essential.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.This position is in person Baltimore, MD office.
