District 2 Policy & Community Outreach Intern
Poway Chamber of Commerce
Supervisor Joel Anderson currently serves as San Diego County Supervisor for District 2, representing over 620,000 residents in more than 50 communities. Prior to this, he has served East County San Diego in the State Assembly from 2007-2009 and in the State Senate from 2010-2018. Prior to that, he served on the Padre Dam Municipal Water District and the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego Board of Directors. He has been a longtime grassroots advocate for issues he cares about, and ultimately it was his experience running his own business that inspired him to run for office to make California more friendly towards small business owners. The Office of County Supervisor Joel Anderson, District 2, is excited to offer students a hands-on internship opportunity in San Diego County!Interns will gain hands-on experience in policy research, HR and management support, casework, and community outreach, while also representing the Supervisor at local events.
