Tissue Processing Technologist I

What does a Tissue Processing Technologist I do? The Tissue Processing Technologist I plays a vital role in ensuring that surgeons receive the correct tissue for a corneal transplant in a timely manner. Responsibilities include supporting the tissue pre‑cutting process, confirming quality standards are met, and assisting with the delivery of tissue to surgeons across the world. What else should I know about this position? This is a full‑time, hourly position scheduled for 40 hrs/week on a 4‑day, 10‑hour per day schedule that includes both weekend days. The role is 100% in‑person; remote work is not available. What if I’ve never done this type of work before? On‑the‑job training will be provided. Candidates should: Have a high school diploma or equivalent; experience or education in a scientific or laboratory environment is preferred. Demonstrate teamwork, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills (written, verbal). What compensation and benefits do you offer? The minimum hourly rate for this position is $21.38/hour and the maximum hourly rate is $23.63/hour. Compensation varies based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
