Technical Support Engineer

We are hiring for a Technical Support Engineer in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a hands‑on networking professional who enjoys solving real‑world customer problems and working across carrier Ethernet, IP/Ethernet, and network management technologies. This role serves as the primary technical contact for assigned customer cases, working closely with 3rd Tier Support, Engineering, and Product Management to resolve complex issues and deliver a strong customer experience. Approximately 15% travel required. Responsibilities Serve as the primary customer contact for all assigned cases, providing telephone, web, and email-based technical support Analyze network and equipment configuration problems and defects to identify effective solutions. Partner with 3rd Tier Technical Support, Engineering, Product Management, and other departments to resolve customer issues in the most effective manner. Deliver technical training to both co-workers and customers as needed. Provide on‑site troubleshooting and support when required. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience with Carrier Ethernet Technology. Hands‑on experience with IP/Ethernet networking, including VLANs, routing, and switching. Experience with QoS, including traffic prioritization and policing. Background in IT network administration. BA or BS in a technical field highly desirable.
