NCIS IT Support Specialist (Quantico, VA)

IT Support Specialist Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026. Position Summary As an IT Support Specialist, you will manage and operate a centralized service desk and oversee user support and help desk specialists resolving request/problem incidents. Clearance Requirements Fully adjudicated Top Secret clearance (SCI eligibility). Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provides Tier 1-3 technical support for hardware, software, and telecommunications. Manages service requests via ticketing systems, performs hardware troubleshooting, and maintains up-to-date IT equipment databases. Required Education, Skills, and Experience 1-2 years of IT support experience with an Associate's degree (or equivalent experience). Strong customer service skills and the ability to obtain necessary technical certifications for L3 support. Physical Demands and Expectations Travel required up to 25% travel. Regular physical activity: walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, standing; occasional prolonged sitting. Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance. Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
