RN - Emergency Department

This position is located in a Level IV Trauma Center. The facility also has a Primary Stroke Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. There is an active FNE program with an RN on-call 24/7 for these cases. The unit has a total of 74 beds available. Patient types include all ages. Patient ratios are RN 1:4 for both day and night shifts. Technician ratios are 1:8 for both day and night shifts. Support on the unit includes a charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment. A hospitalist is available in-house 24/7. Emergency Department physicians are also in-house 24/7. There is nursing station telemetry monitoring available without a telemetry technician. Charting is performed using an electronic medical record system. IV pumps and medication dispensing systems are in use at the facility. There is a weekend rotation requirement of one weekend per month. Up to seven days of time off can be approved. No call is required for this position. There are no specific holiday expectations. Scrub colors must be professional, without graphics, logos, or designs.
