Staff Pharmacist

Cencora seeks a Staff Pharmacist to launch a new pharmacy location at Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania. This full-time role involves dispensing medications, providing clinical consultation, managing pharmacy operations, and leading technician staff in a retail/ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, prepare, verify, and dispense medications according to professional and legal standards
- Counsel patients on medication therapy and address clinical questions and concerns
- Review treatment plans for therapeutic appropriateness and consult with prescribers
- Manage prescription claims, reimbursement processing, and financial optimization
- Hire, train, and oversee daily performance of pharmacy technicians and support staff
Requirements
- PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited institution
- Unrestricted current Pennsylvania pharmacist license and injectables license
- 1–3 years community, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong medication knowledge including drug interactions and contraindications
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale technology
- Ability to lead and coach pharmacy technicians
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
