Partner with operations teams to validate business case assumptions, track performance metrics, and contribute to automated reporting systems that reduce manual work by 40-50%. Conduct risk assessments and implement improvements to remediate gaps, ensuring reporting accuracy by diving deep into data discrepancies and executing fixes. Collaborate across finance, operations, supply chain, and technology teams to develop standardized investment evaluation processes and financial playbooks that scale independently of building count. A day in the life Your day begins with analyzing operational data to identify cost optimization opportunities across the Inbound Operations network. You'll spend time developing or refining AI-powered dashboards that automatically detect anomalies and visualize trends. Throughout the day, you'll partner with operations teams to validate business assumptions, contribute to automated reporting systems, and participate in cross-functional councils where you'll provide financial perspectives on placement and quality strategy decisions. You'll balance your analytical work with collaborative sessions, driving data quality improvements and system integration while validating productivity metrics. About The Team Our team supports multiple different networks that is the entry point of volume into the Amazon Fulfillment network, playing a critical role as financial advocates and business partners. We design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business. Team members partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Technology. About The Team This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR and Technology. This role plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner. This role will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience MBA, or CPA Knowledge of SQL/ETL Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
