About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified OBGYN Physician for a locum tenens opportunity at a Level III trauma facility in Pomona, NJ. This inpatient, hospital-based position focuses exclusively on labor and delivery, with responsibilities including labor floor management, inductions, cesarean sections, and the management of gynecological emergencies.

Compensation: $190 Per Hour

Schedule & Coverage

· Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week

· Day Shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

· Night Shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

· Coverage: Monday–Friday, with a mix of day and night shifts

· Weekend Requirements: None specified

· On-Call Requirements: None specified

Practice & Patient Details

· Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based practice

· Trauma Designation: Level III

· Coverage: 100% inpatient

· Patient Population: Labor and delivery patients

· Daily Census: Approximately 1–9 laboring patients

· Cesarean Sections: Approximately 3 per day

· EMR: Cerner / Oracle

Responsibilities

· Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care for labor and delivery patients.

· Manage the labor floor, including patient assessments and delivery planning.

· Perform and manage labor inductions.

· Perform cesarean sections as clinically indicated.

· Evaluate and manage gynecological emergencies presenting through the Emergency Department.

· Provide inpatient gynecological consultations.

· Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner / Oracle.

Requirements

· MD or DO

· Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.

· Active New Jersey medical license required.

· Demonstrated experience managing labor and delivery patients.

· Experience with labor floor management, inductions, and cesarean sections.

· Experience managing gynecological emergencies and providing inpatient gynecological consultations.
