Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in the Elk Grove Village/Arlington Heights area, working in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity focuses on providing individualized instruction and specialized support to students with diverse learning needs. Key Qualifications:
- Valid IL LBS1 Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person instruction and interventions tailored to students with special needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Modify general education curriculum to meet individual needs and accommodate learning styles
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure a comprehensive educational approach
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide support and resources to families, promoting open dialogue and student success
