Hiring Special Education Teacher – 2026–2027 School Year

Location: Chicago, IL
Contract Position

Bilingual Therapies is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for full-time, in-person contract positions serving students in grades K–8 in Chicago, Illinois. There are currently multiple openings available. The ideal candidate will have experience providing push-in and pull-out special education support, particularly in reading fluency and comprehension and foundational math skills. The average caseload is approximately 20 students, with SLD and DD being the most common disabilities served.

Hours: Full-Time

Grades: K–8th Grade

Setting: School-Based / In-Person

Average Caseload: Approximately 20 students

Service Model: Push-In and Pull-Out Support

Primary Areas of Support: Reading fluency and comprehension; foundational math skills

Common Disabilities Served: Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and Developmental Delay (DD)

Job Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Special Education teaching credential required

LBS1 certification required

Experience working with students in grades K–8 preferred

Experience providing push-in and pull-out special education services preferred

Strong instructional and classroom management skills

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Ability to support students with diverse learning needs and IEP goals

Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff
