Our facility is a 124-bed acute care hospital situated on 23 scenic acres in Sparks, Nevada.

This Recovery Room Registered Nurse position is available on a per diem basis within our PACU Unit , offering a flexible schedule. We seek an enthusiastic PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care across a diverse age range, from infants to seniors, in the operating room environment. You will address the psychosocial, physical, and overall care aspects related to surgical procedures. This role requires continuous communication with the surgeon and anesthesiologist regarding patient status. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining surgical equipment and managing pain relief supplies. Responsibilities include assessing the operating and procedure rooms for equipment readiness, procuring necessary supplies for specific cases, and ensuring the surgical team’s needs are met. You will also monitor, position, and assist patients during procedures.

Key Duties:

• Exhibit supportive behaviors essential for conducting bedside reports using IMAP & SBAR, performed collaboratively with patients in their rooms.
• Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe pre-procedure assessments for all patients and reassess as necessary post-procedure.
• Demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, providing age-appropriate care tailored to the needs of the patient population served. Ability to interpret patient data to identify specific age-related requirements and deliver appropriate care.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Nevada.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
