Coordinator Logistics Operations

Purpose:The Coordinator – Logistics Operations, will provide leadership and supervision for all Operational activities including: IB receiving, storage, inventory, movement and OB shipping of products, materials, supplies and equipment. This individual will focus on providing excellent customer service and general support to the stores serviced by the Distribution Center.Minimum Eligibility Requirements:Relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferredProven track record of delivering results, managing teams, and continuous improvementExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of general warehouse safety rulesMust possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well under pressureProficiency with software applications and transportation systemsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office SuiteWarehouse Management System experience preferredAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently, and/or within a team, across all levels and diverse cultures, and the ability to lead team projectsMust pass pre-employment background checkEssential Job Functions:Work within a Warehouse Management System (WMS)Supervise a team of 5 or more employees and their workflow to ensure maximum service levels are maintainedEnsure safe and timely loading/unloading of inbound trucks and containersManage the receipt of inbound purchase orders and transfers into the distribution center including all documentation and relevant communication regarding discrepancies.Review daily priorities with leadership and adjust appropriately according to replenishment needsCoordinate the labeling and shipment of all outbound transfers from the distribution center, including all documentation, system updates, and internal and external communicationMonitor open doors in the warehouse to ensure no unauthorized entry.Conduct daily safety inspections of packaging, product, and equipmentAssist Supervisor with performance management and recognitionMaintain clean, safe, efficient work environment meeting all safety standardsOther duties may be assigned as appropriate and in accordance with business needsOperate powered lift equipmentWorking Conditions (travel & environment)This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Working hours are subject to change due to business needs and working am and/or pm flexible shifts.Occasional travel required including air and car travelWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTSMedium Work – Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
