Lead Line Cook

Lead from the line at our State Line taquería, where restaurant service, takeout, catering, and group orders can arrive at once. You will cook alongside the team, set the pace during a rush, and help other cooks deliver food that is consistent, accurate, and ready on time.

What you’ll do

• Cook and assemble menu items to recipe, portion, presentation, and food safety standards.
• Plan prep and station setup so the kitchen is ready for each service.
• Guide ticket flow, communicate priorities, and help resolve order issues as they arise.
• Train cooks on recipes, equipment, timing, and clean station habits.
• Check ingredient levels, rotate stock, reduce waste, and flag shortages or equipment issues.
• Support opening and closing routines and communicate handoffs to managers.

• Experience cooking in a professional kitchen and confidence working a busy line.
• Care for Mexican food, consistent execution, and the details guests notice.
• Clear communication and patience when coaching teammates.
• Sound judgment under pressure, reliable attendance, and a willingness to jump in.
• Comfort following recipes, food safety practices, and direction from the chef and managers.
