Private Family Seeking Full-Time Private Chef
A private family in Miami Beach is seeking an experienced and dependable Full-Time Private Chef to prepare fresh, healthy meals for a household consisting of a couple and one young child.
The family enjoys Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a focus on fresh fish and seafood, lamb, beef, salads, vegetables, and other healthy, well-balanced meals prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. There are currently no dietary restrictions.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience cooking for private families and be comfortable managing all aspects of the household kitchen, including menu planning, grocery shopping, inventory, food preparation, kitchen organization, and cleanliness.
Schedule : MondayFriday, approximately 7:30 AM5:00 PM, plus one day on the weekend. An early start is required to prepare breakfast and the child's lunch before school.
Responsibilities
- Prepare three meals per day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Prepare breakfast for the child before school
- Pack a fresh, nutritious lunch box for a Pre-K-aged child
- Prepare lunch for two adults
- Prepare dinner for the family
- Create weekly menus based on the family's preferences
- Prepare healthy, well-balanced meals with an emphasis on Mediterranean-style cuisine
- Manage grocery shopping and source fresh, high-quality ingredients
- Maintain kitchen inventory and restock ingredients and household food supplies
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, sanitary, and well maintained
- Properly store, label, and rotate food
- Maintain refrigerators, pantry areas, and food-storage spaces
- Manage kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or replacement needs
- Adjust menus and meals based on the family's schedule and preferences
- Assist with occasional entertaining or special meals as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a Private Chef for families or private households
- Available for full day preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Skilled in Mediterranean cuisine and healthy cooking
- Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Able to independently manage the household kitchen
- Trustworthy, dependable, organized, and punctual
- Professional and discreet
- Excellent professional references
- Interested in a long-term, full-time position
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
