Title: Clinical Pharmacist - General Job Type: Temporary, Non-Benefited Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Pharmacy Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary As a temporary, non-benefitted Pharmacist at Roswell Park, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy. This position offers an opportunity to combine clinical expertise with meaningful patient interaction, helping individuals navigate complex treatments at important moments in their lives. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to deliver high‑quality care and contribute to a supportive, patient‑centered environment. What You’ll Do Review, evaluate, and safely dispense medications, including: Unit dose medications IV preparations and additives Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) Chemotherapy and investigational therapies Partner with physicians and nurses to guide medication selection and optimize treatment plans Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend safe, cost‑effective alternatives when appropriate Educate and counsel patients on how to use their medications with confidence and clarity Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient operations Contribute to a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement What You’ll Bring A strong foundation in pharmacy practice and medication management Confidence working with complex therapies, including oncology or IV medications Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset A patient‑first approach with the ability to educate and support individuals and families Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and accuracy Leadership skills to guide and support pharmacy technicians Why You’ll Love Working Here At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, our mission is to understand, prevent, and cure cancer. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
