Job Summary:
Join a growing immigration practice where your expertise will have an immediate impact on sophisticated employment-based immigration matters.
We are seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal with 5+ years of recent business immigration experience to support a busy and collaborative Immigration Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who can independently manage complex casework, communicate directly with clients, and drive matters from initiation through filing under attorney supervision.
What You'll Do:
- Manage a diverse caseload of employment-based immigration matters from preparation through filing.
- Prepare and file H-1B, PERM, I-140, Adjustment of Status (I-485, I-765, I-131), L-1, TN, and E-1/E-2 matters.
- Draft responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and other government correspondence.
- Prepare immigration forms, petition support letters, and comprehensive filing packages.
- Communicate directly with corporate and individual clients regarding case requirements, documentation, and deadlines.
- Monitor expiration dates, filing deadlines, and case milestones to ensure timely case management.
- Collaborate with attorneys on complex immigration matters and client solutions.
- Mentor junior paralegals and legal assistants while helping maintain high-quality work product.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of substantial, recent business immigration experience.
- Significant hands-on experience with H-1B, PERM, I-140, and employment-based adjustment of status matters.
- Experience handling L-1, TN, and E-1/E-2 cases.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration processes and government filing procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience training, mentoring, or supporting junior team members.
- Familiarity with Docketwise or similar immigration case management platforms is a plus.
