Registered Nurse, Short Term Care Unit (Full Time, Night)

Work Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay and Eligibility Pay range listed below. Eligibility for a sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. Nurses with 3+ years of experience: assignments every 3rd weekend and every other holiday. Unit Overview The Acute Unit is a short‑term inpatient unit focused on safety and stabilization. Patients participate in healthy living and expressive therapies, including art, music, and fitness therapy. Ideal Candidate Enjoys patient‑focused care, works with adults and families, has a passion for helping patients with schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, and addictive disorders. Appreciates an active, challenging care environment and values autonomous professional nursing practice. Responsibilities Delivers nursing care by developing diagnoses, establishing objectives, and defining interventions. Provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Reviews physician prescriptions, communicates the care plan, and coordinates with the health care team. Develops care plans based on medical histories, physical and psychological status, and social factors. Evaluates and re‑evaluates care objectives, measuring outcomes against standards. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment, adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled‑substance regulations. Documents patient care services in patient and department records. Maintains competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Required Education and Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state of practice license upon hire.
