Pharmacy Clinical Specialist- AnticoagulationUnder the direction of the Clinical Manager ensures optimum patient outcomes related to medication use by preventing or resolving drug-related issues and optimizing the drug therapy of patients. Provides drug information to patients and families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professional. Integrally involved in education of pharmacists, residents and students. Serves as a resource and drug expert in one of the seven specialty areas. Strives to increase knowledge through research and writing activities. Applicant can be licensed in another state and pending reciprocation.Knowledge and Skills:Deep knowledge of medications, their effects, drug interactions, medical procedures and therapies, diagnosis and disease states required.Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with hospital staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, colleagues, and others.Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlinesAn organized work style and ability to keep well written documentation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional language skills can be a plus.Must possess self-management skills and require little to no supervision.
