Medical AssistantPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Joshua, TX.Job Details: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Location: Joshua, TX 76058 Job Type: Local Contract Contract Length: 9 weeks Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00/hour on W2 Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Duties:Room patients, prepare them for examinations, and assist physicians, APCs, and nurses with patient care.Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, medication administration, wound dressing changes, and other procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.Operate diagnostic equipment, perform equipment quality control checks, and document patient care accurately in the medical record.Maintain exam and treatment rooms, stock supplies, follow infection control procedures, and support patient confidentiality and safety.Coordinate patient care, perform intake and information gathering, and follow established policies, procedures, and delegation protocols.Requirements:Certification(s): Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification and current BLS certification for healthcare providersYears of experience: 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferredSkills/Specialties/Technology: Medical terminology, phlebotomy, basic computer literacy, patient care, EKGs, specimen collection, medication administration, wound care, diagnostic equipment, ICD-10/CPT coding knowledge preferred, and strong communication/customer service skillsPreferred: Bilingual in English/SpanishEqual Employment OpportunityPrideGlobal and it's affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
