We are seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Pediatric Physician Assistant to join our specialized team in the prestigious ACCU, a 44-bed inpatient unit dedicated to high-acuity pediatric cardiac patients. In this vital role, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to some of the most vulnerable children, guiding their journey from intensive treatment to recovery. Your clinical expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, providing both challenge and fulfillment in a dynamic environment.

Required skills:

• Valid physician assistant license with current certification
• BC critical care certification or equivalent specialized certification in pediatric critical care
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex pediatric cardiac and ICU patients
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability to work across multiple service lines and team configurations
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with physicians, residents, and families

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with ventricular assist devices (VADs), ventilator dependence, or inotropic infusions
• Prior experience in pediatric cardiac units or step-down care settings
• Knowledge of congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, transplant care, and post-op management

Preferred education and experience:

• Master's degree in physician assistant studies or equivalent advanced degree
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or pediatric advanced practice provider experience, preferably in cardiac or pediatric critical care settings

Other requirements:

• Certification in basic life support (BLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
• Ability to work 13-hour day shifts (07:00 - 20:00) in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to pediatric cardiac patients
