Payroll Clerk

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join a growing team in Charlotte. This hybrid, temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on payroll experience who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting a busy payroll function. ADP experience is strongly preferred .
Responsibilities

• Assist with processing weekly and/or biweekly payroll
  
• Review employee timekeeping and payroll information for accuracy
  
• Enter and update employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and pay changes
  
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
  
• Assist with payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related items
  
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
  
• Respond to employee payroll questions in a timely and professional manner
  
• Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits as needed
  
• Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll information
  
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll data
  

Qualifications

• Previous payroll or payroll support experience preferred
  
• Experience with ADP is highly preferred
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Comfortable working with Excel and payroll reports
  
• Ability to handle confidential employee information
  
• Strong organizational and communication skills
  
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  

Pay Details: $24.00 per hour
