Teachers will provide classroom coverage during faculty absences. Key Responsibilities Manage student learning in accordance with the school's goals and directives. Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information. Enforce discipline and classroom control to create a safe, positive environment. Supervise students to ensure health, welfare and safety. Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, facilities. Report upon arrival to the office, review lesson plans, seek clarification of rules. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline issues promptly. Implement lesson plans while maximizing academic time and motivating learning. Organize students for effective instruction. Dismiss students from classroom before leaving. Provide brief record of the day to the regular classroom teacher. Collect and return students’ papers, instructional materials, equipment and keys. Comply with and support school & division regulations and policies. Model non‑discriminatory practices. Perform other duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with school/division policies.
