ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Shift DetailsShift Type: NightsShift Length: 12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHolidays: Participates in holiday rotations with permanent staffUnit InformationUnit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Number of Beds: 11 private roomsPatient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2Electronic Medical Records (EMR): CernerKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including those with complex conditions such as open heart surgery, strokes, and ventilator support.Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) drips including dopamine, levophed, epinephrine, nitroglycerin, etc.Monitor vital signs, interpret telemetry strips, and manage chest tubes, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters.Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Participate in patient and family education as needed.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting is required; travel experience preferred.Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS.Experience with chest tubes, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters is essential.Additional NotesCharge nurse position available; charge nurses will have a small patient load.No nurse aides available; responsibility falls entirely on nursing staff.Rapid response team and respiratory therapy available 24/7.Pharmacy services available during the day, with after-hours medication mixing required from night shift nurses.Orientation: Two shifts of floor-specific training.If you are a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse looking to make a significant impact in a critical care setting, we encourage you to apply.
