Job Description

The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in managing small teams of 1-5 employees to ensure smooth front-of-house operations. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this role involves varied shift timings, including rotating weekends, focused on providing excellent customer service, overseeing staff during shifts, and maintaining operational standards. This role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week availability.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage front-of-house operations during assigned shifts
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle guest concerns
• Supervise and support staff to maintain performance and morale
• Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
• Assist with scheduling and shift coverage
• Train new team members on procedures and policies
• Resolve problems effectively to maintain smooth operations

 

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in restaurant management or operations

 

Preferred Qualifications

• ServSafe certification
• Strong customer service skills
• Proven team leadership ability
• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Experience with POS systems
• Conflict resolution skills
• Effective communication abilities
