Service Advisor - CDJR of Santa Barbara

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Santa Barbara is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our team! Located in beautiful Santa Barbara, we are committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and a positive dealership experience.

As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and our Service Department. You will help customers understand their vehicle’s maintenance and repair needs, coordinate with technicians, prepare accurate repair orders and estimates, and keep customers informed throughout the service process. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Service Advisor Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally and establish a positive rapport

• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information and document concerns clearly

• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately communicate vehicle symptoms to technicians

• Recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle age, mileage, manufacturer recommendations, and service history

• Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, and recommended services

• Establish clear expectations and follow-up times with customers

• Monitor the progress of vehicles throughout the service process and provide timely updates

• Communicate additional repair recommendations and obtain customer authorization when necessary

• Coordinate loaner vehicles and rental transportation when applicable

• Review repair orders to ensure completed work, labor, parts, and charges are accurate

• Explain completed repairs and charges clearly to customers at vehicle delivery

• Address customer questions and concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions

• Maintain accurate records and ensure all service documentation is complete

• Take ownership of the customer experience and consistently look for opportunities to exceed expectations

• Automotive dealership experience strongly preferred

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership service environment

• Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software and systems

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
