W2 Contract – Approximately 11 months with possible extensions!

  Summary of the Role:

 

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Services Project Manager I to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This role will support multiple low- to medium-complexity clinical and lab services projects from initiation through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with pharma services plans. The position facilitates cross-functional interactions and serves as a primary point of contact for Pharma clients.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple clinical testing and lab services projects from initiation through contract completion under the supervision of a Program Manager and act as the primary point of contact for Pharma customers.
• Perform tactical coordination of timelines for projects and functions within CDx Pharma Services, including developing project plans and coordinating timelines, managing execution of cross-functional plans and tracking activities, and identifying gaps, potential bottlenecks, delays, and challenging assumptions.
• Oversee and guide day-to-day activities of sample process flow and accurate reporting of results.
• Implement best practices within the clinical sciences team and foster continuous improvement by ensuring knowledge and experience exchange.
• Guide and manage cross-functional interactions to complete assigned projects within deadlines.
• Interface with external resources, including Contract Research Organizations (CROs), site investigators, and client counterparts, and serve as a single point of contact with Pharma clients.
• Manage meeting activities, including setting agendas, organizing meeting times, and editing meeting minutes.
• Track, maintain, and communicate project reports and clinical study data to Pharma clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field.
• Experience: 2 years of project and/or clinical trial coordinator/management experience in a regulated, CRO, diagnostic, and/or pharmaceutical industry with regulated documentation.
• Experience with clinical projects that require rapid activity/milestone achievement.
• Possesses problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate project-related activities.
• Familiarity with management of clinical trials.
• Understanding of quality and regulatory processes.
• Knowledge of clinical sample process flow and testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and meeting facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email software, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Possesses interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and displays leadership skills.
• Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining high standards of precision and data quality.
• Ability to manage projects with activity/milestone achievement to complete clinical study testing and data reporting to pharma partners.
• Ability to apply specialized knowledge and skills in functional areas, particularly when interfacing with laboratory, scientific, and medical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree, specific Project Management training, or Clinical Research training and/or certification.
• Experience in clinical trial management and knowledge of bio-sample (clinical testing) management and process flow.
• Previous experience with standard project management process (PMI).
• Diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical industry and relevant diagnostic area knowledge.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
