About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: CVICU experience preferred Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day. No locals within a 100-mile radius. COVID vaccine optional; facility is required to report vaccine numbers. Description: The position requires experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care. Ratios in the unit are 1:2. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekends required as needed. Will float within scope to meet facility needs. May float to other ICUs or units as needed. Special procedures include Post-Op Open Hearts, bedside surgical procedures, and CRRT. Common patient diagnoses are CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, pulmonary embolism, and heart failure. Experience with equipment such as CRRT, ECMO, and IABP is preferred. Skills needed include managing arterial lines, ventilator management, and recognizing infection. The facility is a Level I Trauma and Teaching facility. The unit has a total of 12 beds. Daily patient care involves adults and geriatrics. Collaboration with various interdisciplinary teams is expected.
