Your Impact As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will design and build software solutions that power Cisco's products and platforms. You will work end-to-end on everything from APIs and backend services to user interfaces and distributed systems. You'll solve real-world problems, ship impactful features, and help shape the future of connectivity and technology. Minimum Qualifications Meet one of the following (completed within the past 3 years or expected to be completed within the next 12 months): -A Master's degree with 0 years of work experience; or -A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of work experience. Qualifying education and work experience should be in Computer Engineering, Technology, Software Development or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining code Experience building or supporting software applications or services, including APIs and familiarity with core software engineering workflows, tools, and development environments such as Git and Linux Preferred Qualifications Expertise in frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React, with a strong focus on UI/UX principles. Proficiency in full-stack development, including experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript, and a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Object-Oriented Programming, and version control via Git. Strong background in building and managing scalable backend distributed systems and microservices using languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, or Java. Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and robust CI/CD automation workflows. Why Cisco?
