Modeling and Simulation Lead Software Engineer

Leidos is hiring a Lead Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer with an active Secret clearance in our Beavercreek Ohio Office. The successful candidate will use strong technical capabilities and communication skills to collaborate with technical teams of engineers and scientists to integrate an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral few-on-few engagement simulation environment.Primary Responsibilities:Perform tasks related to the integration of an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral few-on-few, C++ based simulation environmentLead a team of engineers and manage team taskingCollaborate with teams of government and contractor personnelParticipate in the design and implementation of tools that support the wider multispectral simulationTest and evaluate implementations, provide feedback to developmental team and team partnersPrepare documentation requested by the government customerBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or a related field with 5+ years of applicable experience or an MS degree in CS, CE, EE, or a related fieldExperience with C++, LinuxExperience with modeling and simulation (M&S) techniquesExcellent English-language written and verbal communication. Strong emphasis on writing abilityGreat people skills and the desire to work with technical teams of engineers and scientistsAbility to work independently and under deadlines in a mixed government-contractor environmentTo be considered, must have a current and active Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience working with modeling and simulation, Python, GPU compute, HPC resources, EO/IR sensor phenomenology, infrared threat systemsPrevious team lead experiencePrevious experience with department of defense software applicationsNKEIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
