Physical Therapist (PT) - School Based

Compensation

Salary Range: $82,744.16 - $95,155.78 per year

Location: Yonkers, NY

Position Summary
As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will provide therapy services to infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-aged children to support their physical development and functional independence. You will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with IEP/IFSP goals. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a structured educational setting.

Responsibilities

? Schedule / Shift

• Shift details: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Hours per week: 35

? Key Duties:

• Provide mandated physical therapy services in accordance with IEP/IFSP requirements and maintain a caseload of sessions
• Perform evaluations and assessments using evidence-based practices and communicate findings effectively
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and goal tracking, in compliance with regulations
• Support assistive technology and adaptive equipment needs, and participate in meetings, training, and professional development

Requirements

? Education

• Required: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy

? Licenses & Certifications

• Required: NYS Physical Therapist License and Registration
• Additional certifications (if applicable): BLS/CPR certification preferred; NPI number required

? Skills:

• Strong pediatric therapy knowledge and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with families and school staff
• Strong documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage caseloads and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
