Job Description Job Summary: The MRI Technologist operates and prepares specialized MRI equipment to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures. They apply technical expertise and clinical judgment to produce high-quality diagnostic images in compliance with established protocols and patient needs. Responsibilities:

- Perform MRI imaging procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Position patients and coils to optimize image quality and patient comfort.
- Educate patients about the imaging process, including procedures, area to be scanned, and specific instructions.
- Review patient safety questionnaires prior to initiating scans to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Label and evaluate images for technical acceptability, ensuring timely transmission to PACS.
- Maintain cleanliness of the radiology room and equipment before and after each shift, including proper handling of linen and supplies.
- Possess a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT Certification.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physics, and physiology relevant to MRI.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in MRI preferred.
- Graduate from an JCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Comply with all licensure and certification requirements, including adherence to relevant health codes.
