Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Travel Respiratory Therapist – Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico (13‑week travel assignment). Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to work on this travel assignment. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and full clinical support are included. Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans. Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders. Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples. Treat patients through methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure proper oxygen delivery. Observe and record patient status and progress. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care. Educate patients and/or family members on medication and equipment use. Perform other duties within the scope of RRT practice. Qualifications Required: One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC. Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred: ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC). Other certifications and licenses as required. Skills and Abilities Professional Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and oral communication in English. Ability to read and understand written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and basic PC skills. Physical: Must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal: Work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain a positive professional attitude. Technical/Motor: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures and equipment. Mental: Handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without close supervision, and manage irregular schedules with continuous detail orientation.
