Shift: Nights, 7P-7A


Hourly Pay Rate: $60.30


Patient Ratio: 1:2 for Labor & Delivery, 1:6 (3 moms/3 babies) for postpartum


Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate practices independently, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of clinical care and patient management. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality outcomes. The nurse will delegate tasks appropriately and focus on delivering compassionate care to mothers and newborns in a dynamic hospital setting.


Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with practice standards.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor for side effects and efficacy.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about care plans, procedures, and health management, addressing learning needs and ensuring understanding.

Job Requirements:

• Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience in labor and delivery or postpartum preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA) required.
  • Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
  • Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
  • STABLE certification (participant, lead instructor, or support instructor).
  • NRP certification.
  • ACLS certification (AHA) required.

Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM, Full-time
