Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Surgical Services unit position requiring 2 years of experience across multiple specialties including ortho, OB/GYN, and DaVinci robotic surgery.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Surgical Services unit,
• Patient population spans neonate through geriatric,
• Cases include ortho (total joints), general surgery, OB/GYN (especially C-sections), eye surgery, urology, and DaVinci robotic procedures,
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30a-7p, 3 days per week,
• 36 hours per week,
• Call requirements per unit,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience,
• High School Diploma or GED required,
• BLS certification required,
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required,
• License required if applicable,
• Experience with ortho (total joints), general surgery, OB/GYN (especially C-sections), eye surgery, urology, and DaVinci robotic surgery required,
• Knowledge of medical terminology, the metric system, and aseptic technique,

Additional Information

• Assist the surgical team in delivering patient care during the intra-operative period,
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment,
• Adapt care and equipment use based on patient age, from neonate through geriatric,
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure,
• Prioritize, plan, and problem-solve effectively amid the changing nature of surgical procedures,
• Recognize and respond immediately to urgent or emergency situations,
• Demonstrate adherence to professional standards of practice
