Business Analyst (WIC)

Salary: $95,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a candidate with either prior business analysis experience on a large-scale IT system or prior experience determining eligibility or supporting administration for the WIC program.
• We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent blend of recent, relevant work experience.
• We are seeking 3+ years in a Business Analyst role or 2+ years with a strong WIC program background.
• We need experience defining business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, identifying business solutions, and validating that solutions meet requirements.
• The ability to manage a heavy workload with limited guidance is necessary.
• We are looking for someone who is self-driven and able to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• We need well-developed problem-solving skills.
• The candidate must adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment.
• A solid understanding of SDLC methodology is required.

• We partner with the project team, business stakeholders, and system vendors to gather and finalize business requirements.
• We collect information about current business processes, analyze those processes, and recommend improvements and the best system design to support business needs.
• We actively participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for new systems and new functionality in existing systems.
• We review vendor-produced design documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring there are no design gaps and that business needs are met.
• We draft test plans and test scenarios for the WIC project.
• We participate in system testing.
• We monitor and follow up on project Risks, Action Items, and Decisions (RAID).

We offer a remote Business Analyst opportunity based in Frankfort, KY, supporting a new project focused on determining eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Our work includes updates to existing Cabinet systems as well as the creation of new systems or modules to support WIC operations. The selected candidate will serve as the divisions primary point of contact for the project and become the subject matter expert on the new modules and system updates, while also supporting maintenance and operations for the Vendor Management Portal and Local Agency Portal. We are looking for someone who can work under deadlines, handle a substantial workload, and operate independently with general direction. This is a W2-only opportunity.
