FIN BUS INTELL/VISUALIZATION ANALYST

Job Summary The Finance Business Intelligence Visualization Analyst role facilitates and supports enterprise reporting analytics data integrity dashboard creation forecasting and BI tool development for financial systems. This role creates and translates complex financial data into actionable insights to support strategic planning and decision-making and acts as the financial systems BI Product Owner. Responsibilities Knowledge of BI tools, financial processes, and systems; create and validate new metrics, reports, and documents within the business intelligence solution. Manage data governance for the BI and Planning data platforms and coordinate with other codes to ensure data integrity. Analyze current and historical business trends and forecast financials to highlight potential risks and opportunities. Develop end‑user related documentation for BI, including user acceptance test scenarios, scripts, test plans, design documents, and instructional documents. Act as financial systems BI Product Owner, maximizing the value of financial systems by managing the BI product backlog, defining the BI product vision, and ensuring alignment between stakeholders and development teams. Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders into the BI product backlog to guide future enhancements and prioritization. Participate in recurring BI product backlog and release management meetings on behalf of the finance team. Own, prioritize, and manage financial system BI backlog of changes; translate business requirements into backlog entries and specifications as applicable. Train customers and system end‑users on BI processes, functionality, and new BI system users. Satisfy data calls by extracting, formatting, and delivering relevant data from finance systems. Assist in managing and ensuring data integrity within the Business Intelligence and Planning systems; partner with other codes to ensure guidelines are followed. Lead BI user acceptance testing of new features; prioritize new BI features and enhancements on behalf of the business. Report and track all BI testing processes and software‑related issues. Develop analytical and productivity enhancements utilizing the business intelligence tool to develop documents and reports. Serve as a point‑of‑contact for functional areas and assist subject matter experts (SMEs) with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analysis of data flows for process improvement opportunities. Create documents and manage project‑related testing efforts. Manage the development and communication of planning objectives, strategies, and timelines and provide support to end users. Have a strong acumen in Microsoft Excel workbooks to develop and generate spreadsheets as necessary for business analytics. Act as a liaison between all partners and end users to ensure clear communication related to upgrade status to all stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens. General Experience: Three (3) years of general experience with administrative, analytical, technical, financial, or investigative experience demonstrating the ability to perform work involving business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, financial systems, enterprise applications, process improvement, or decision support activities. Substitution of Education for Experience: One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for nine (9) months of experience, up to a maximum of a four‑year bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field for three (3) years of general experience. Specialized Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the following areas: Developing, maintaining, and supporting business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and data visualization solutions using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, IBM Planning Analytics, Oracle Analytics, SAP Business Objects, or similar tools. Creating dashboards, reports, scorecards, metrics, and analytical tools that support business operations and executive decision‑making. Extracting, validating, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial and operational data to perform trend analysis, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance measurement. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify reporting requirements, prioritize enhancements, and translate business needs into reporting specifications, dashboard designs, and analytical solutions. Supporting data governance, data quality, and data integrity initiatives. Developing and executing user acceptance testing (UAT), validation procedures, documentation, training materials, and user guides related to business intelligence solutions. #J-18808-Ljbffr Navy Exchange Service Command
