Licensed Practical Nurse

Overview Urology Associates of Central Missouri is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide specialized care for patients with urological diagnoses. Location: 105 Keene Street, Columbia, MO 65201. Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Scope Under direct supervision of physicians and clinicians, the LPN will support patient flow, assist in examinations and procedures, perform clinic support tasks, and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program. Responsibilities Support patient care related to prevention, screening, and treatment of men’s health conditions. Serve as a direct caregiver, healthcare consultant, and patient educator. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures. Record and report patient conditions and reactions to treatments. Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent; graduate from an accredited practical nursing program. 1-3 years of experience as a practical nurse; entry level. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Current LPN state license and registration with the state board. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 3 months of hire. Ability to perform physical demands: full range of motion, lift up to 40 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods. Requisite vision and hearing within normal limits.
