Seasonal Research Technician

A seasonal Research Assistant is needed to assist the University of New Hampshire Cucurbit Breeding Program ( with fruit harvest and processing. The program is based Durham, NH. Training will be provided to perform all required tasks. Duties/Responsibilities Specific tasks may include: Weeding Training plants Assisting in pollination Cutting and processing fruit Cleaning seed Taking data such as fruit weight, flesh color, dry matter, and other such measurements using various apps and instruments. Requirements Minimal Acceptable Education & Experience High school diploma Preferred Qualifications A background/interest in horticulture/agriculture is desirable, but the position is open to all motivated candidates. Compensation Pay Range $16/hour Please be advised that this position is supported by external sponsor funding. As such, continued employment in this role is contingent upon the availability of those external funds. If, for any reason, the sponsor funding is reduced or discontinued, employment may be subject to modification or termination in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
