You’ll get to: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting data and processes and work cross functionally to design and implement changesResponsible for the month end, quarter end and year end close processes for Corporate related functions (i.e. Derivatives, Debt, Retirement Plans, Equity, Prepaid Expenses, Self-funded reserves, etc.) that includes the following:Prepares and posts journal entries and understands the technical accounting supporting journal entriesGeneral ledger reconciliationFinancial statement analysisActively engage business leaders and various corporate and business departments to drive efficiency in accounting close and resolve issuesCoordinates, reviews and prepares schedules for internal and external auditorsUses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issuesCoordinate with Businesses & IT to enhance the General Accounting system(s)Assist non-financial departments with reporting and accounting issues and participate in financial projects and initiativesProvide guidance and support to team members to help improve performance and develop technical competenciesAssist with accounting policy or procedure changes, communication needs, etc.The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions.
