In Coral Gables, Kendall & Homestead is looking for a Dining Room Supervisor for its Brand New Palace at Weston, an Independent, Assisted Living & Memory Care Community located at 16025 Emerald Estates Dr. Weston, FL 33331. Winner of Gallup's Great Workplace Award.

The #1 priority of this position is to assist the Dining Room Manager in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Supervising, training and preparing daily schedule for the waiters and waitresses. Managing breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
• Maintaining standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
• Interacting courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
• Ability to promote and execute our culture of "Yes".

Qualifications include:

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• At least two (2) years of experience in supervising dining room staff and food service.
• Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.
