The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Accounting Assistant II for the Athletics Business Office. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Assists in general accounting and Procurement (P2P) functions including the vendor management, processing of purchase orders, invoices, facilitating credit card payments, and the like. Assists with the management of Game Contracts/Non-Conference Guarantees. Works with all necessary support groups to see the full process of contracts through to the end. Tracks and reconciles all payments made.

Minimum Salary - 52602.480

Mid Range Salary - 64788.980

Maximum Salary - 76975.480

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferably acquired in an athletics business operation.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong computer, oral and written communication skills with a working knowledge of computer systems.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a relevant accounting role and/or knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures. Experience with Excel, Oracle Cloud and Procurement systems.
