CNC Machinist

Job Title

This privately owned company located in San Antonio, TX, has been in the business for 40 years designing and producing high end, precision-engineered light fixtures for organizations all over the world. All products are taken from cradle to grave, designed, prototyped, and manufactured at their 13-acre 90,000 sq. ft. headquarters. They utilize the latest technology in the machining industry to meet each client's needs and ideas. This company is dedicated to the community of people it employs, which is around 150, ensuring a team of passionate, hard-working, creative, and professional people.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mill turns, 3-4 axis mills, and/or lathes with live tooling
• Edit programs at the machine
• Perform inspections to ensure conformance of specifications
• Interpret blueprints for specifications such as dimensions, tolerance & instructions
• Select and secure holding fixtures, tools, etc
• Perform daily maintenance of machines

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience in operating CNC Mill Turn machines (or strong mills and lathe exp)
• Experience editing programs at the machine (Fanuc & HAAS controls)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Knowledge and use of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to learn and grow with the company
