Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Two years of experience in a large, urban hospital - EPIC charting experience required - Ability to manage titratable drips - Willingness to float to meet facility needs Description: This position involves working as part of a team-based care delivery model. The team includes bedside Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Virtual Nurses. Staff members care for patients with various medical and telemetry needs, including acute and chronic illnesses such as sepsis, respiratory issues, and cardiac disease. Responsibilities include managing titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, and high oxygen delivery systems. This unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:8 during the day and 1:9 at night. The model promotes teamwork, communication, and effective use of each team member's strengths and skills. Weekend shifts will include working 4 weekends out of 8 possible within a 4-week period. Travelers will be expected to work two out of three major holidays. Candidates must comply with a nicotine-free policy. Floating to other medical-surgical units may be required to meet staffing needs. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
