Mill Maintenance Technician

Mill Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining mining and milling equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, pumps etc.

Essential functions include performing basic pump repair, crusher repair, cutting and welding, cyclone repairs, mill lining abilities, bearing installations, pipe fitting, rigging, conveyor belt adjusting, use of come-along hoists, power tools, torque wrenches, hydraulic jacks, hand tools, diagnostics, flotation inspections and repairs, wet and dry dust collectors, and other duties assigned.

Requirements include operating a forklift, manlift, hydralifts and other related equipment, mechanical repair and/or welding experience on heavy machinery, basic cutting and welding abilities, pipe fitting abilities, physical capabilities to walk, lift, swing a hammer, work in cramped areas, high temperatures and humidity levels, basic English language skills, precision tool use, understanding schematics, lubrication and oil knowledge, and trunnion bearing replacements.

Required education and experience includes a high school diploma or GED.
