Engineering Project Manager

Job Title: Project Engineering ManagerLocation: Nashville, TNSalary: $125K -155K plus bonusThe Project Engineering Manager role involves leading and overseeing technical projects in the food industry. You will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers in creating and implementing innovative solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in tackling complex challenges independently and providing guidance when necessary.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Develop engineering designs, analyze project costs, and ensure compliance with standards. Review and validate field work, as well as oversee the creation of as-built drawings.Manage project execution by coordinating with vendors and contractors. Collaborate with different teams to ensure project plans are implemented effectively.Review and approve engineering submissions, and maintain project documentation. Conduct regular reviews and adjustments to meet project requirements.Coordinate project schedules and layouts, ensuring utility needs are met. Work closely with vendors to deliver successful project outcomes.Define project scopes, evaluate proposals, and provide progress reports to management. Monitor installations to ensure they adhere to specifications and budgets.Manage contract administration, review bid packages, and prepare project documents. Ensure all installations align with project requirements.Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience. Leadership experience and ability to apply engineering principles are essential.Knowledge of project management, contract administration, and national codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills are a must. Previous experience in managing large projects is preferred.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate respect and approachability. Proficiency in engineering economics and knowledge of food processing principles are desirable.
