Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Location: Scott City, MO Department: Fabrication Reports To: Fabrication Manager Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to construct, weld, and assemble a variety of metal components used in our manufactured products. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, safety-minded, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Weld various metals and thicknesses to meet production specifications Utilize standard fabrication tools, machinery, and equipment Prepare product for the next production step; inspect for cosmetic and functional defects Report any material or quality issues promptly Follow established SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures Maintain a clean and organized work environment Complete required documentation accurately Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications 1-2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience with aluminum or stainless steel preferred. High school diploma or equivalent Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment as required Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and perform basic math and decimal-to-fraction conversions Able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Detail-oriented and self-motivated; able to complete paperwork accurately Physical Requirements Prolonged standing required Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Why Join Schaefer's?
